We are proud that all of our students completed another year of class! Thank you for a wonderful school year and the flexibility of our students and teachers with the transition to online school.
We were sorry we couldn’t hold our end-of-the year graduation party and sent everyone off into the summer in person this year. We’re planning for what classes might look like when we return in the fall and we’d love to hear your thoughts – you can email Nancy, the School’s Administrator here. In addition, the board has collected feedback in a survey and we will keep in touch and let you know as we have updates to share.
Don’t forget our resources section that can help with keeping up with your German learning efforts over the summer, including some new great live readings by some of our board members and students!
Take care and stay healthy, and we’ll see you in the fall!
Thank you to all in our community who came together for the end of the year celebration! There was so much effort that went into the event. Students displayed a wide range of work for proud parents to admire! Volunteers brought food, helped with arts and crafts… and so many came with smiles on their faces. Special thanks to our teachers and board members for their tireless work. Fröhlicher Sommer! Check out our facebook page for pictures! https://www.facebook.com/GermanSchoolofMadison/
We would love to see you at the upcoming graduation!
Entchen – Schwalben (kindergarten) classes will be combined to start at 2pm and end at 3 pm. At 3 pm our younger children may go up to the graduation hall early for some kindergarten level arts and crafts.
All other students (Schwalben, Falken, Eulen, Moewen) should be picked up early as class ends at 3:30 pm. Parents are invited to walk their students up to the graduation hall to see samples of their work!! There are snacks to enjoy, followed by announcements, the awarding of test certificates (for those students who participated) and graduation certificates for all!!
Potluck dinner – Thank you in advance for contributing to our light potluck dinner! The German school will provide cutlery, cups, plates bowls, napkins etc, and ask that parents bring 1 or 2 of the following: drinks, appetizer, fruits/veggies, dinner item or desert.
We plan to have some cute activities for the kids, a bit of art, a smidge of crafts and the Maibaum!
