Exciting news about the 2016-17 school year

Dear GSoM families and friends,

We have been receiving a lot of questions about the schedule for the next school year from you. As most of you know, we have outgrown our current location and hence we have been looking for a new “home” for our school over the last several months. While some details still have to be finalized, we would like share some exciting news with you!

After exploring many different options, we are currently negotiating a rental agreement with Lake Edge United Church of Christ on Madison’s East side (4200 Buckeye Rd.). The location meets all our requirements for classrooms, parking, storage, etc. and we are confident that we can reach an agreement with Lake Edge UCC soon.
Based on teacher availability and the results of the survey we conducted earlier this year, classes will most likely take place on Saturday afternoons sometime between 2PM-5PM (135 minutes of instructional time). Please keep in mind that we need to make this change to continue to receive funding from the ZfA. We realize that this is a significant change from our previous schedule; however, we also believe that this change will enable us to keep tuition stable and to make it possible for families from the greater Madison area to participate in classes at the GSoM.
We are also happy to announce that we will be offering a German language class for adults on Saturdays during our regular class hours. This will enable parents and children to learn German at the same time. Depending on the popularity of this class, a second German class for adults on a different day (yet to be determined) may also take place.
We are tremendously grateful for your continued support of the GSoM and we always appreciate your feedback! More information on our fall schedule will follow soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send an email or talk to one of our board members directly.
Thanks so much, viele Grüße,
GSoM Board of Directors
