Faschingsparty 2015

  • Here is some background information on Fasching:  Also known as Karneval, Fasnacht, and Fastelabend,  it is a pre-Lenten celebration observed mainly in the Catholic regions of the German-speaking countries. It originates from Pagan rituals that symbolized the driving out of winter and all of its evil spirits. Some revelers wear fright masks to scare away the evil spirits (and children!) others wear silly, scary, sweet or funny costumes (ridiculing politicians, historical figures, controversial characters of the present and the past….
In short, Fasching is a time to get crazy! It’s a time to break down boundaries in humorous and un-harmful ways and to make merry!

We are looking forward to celebrating with you!
